Tyrrell's announces new Victorian distribution arrangement
Tyrrell’s Wines has announce a new sales and distribution arrangement for the Victorian market.
The Wine Company will continue to be its distribution partner and represent the company until Friday, March 1, 2019. However, from March 4, a new, dedicated sales team will be the first point of contact for all Tyrrell’s related business.
The company noted: "As a business, we have strong brand awareness in the Victorian market and are now in a position to reinvest in a dedicated sales team to service our customer base. This will allow us to have increased focus on building distribution of our core brands and raising awareness of our Heathcote produced wines."
Recruitment for the area manager positions will commence immediately.
It's been an exciting year for Tyrrell's, with its 2013 Belford Semillon taking out Best Semillon and Best Mature Wine at the Royal Melbourne Wine Awards.
It also won Best Semillon at the Royal Adelaide Wine Show, a Gold medal at the NSW Wine Awards and four trophies at the Hunter Valley Wine Show, including Best White, Best Two-Year & Older Semillon, Best Semillon and Best Named Vineyard White.
Additionally, Tyrrell’s Wines won the Consistency of Excellence Medal for Vat 1 Semillon (vintages 2005, 2009, 2013) at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show. This award is given when the same label receives a gold medal in the same class three years in a row.
